Mio Okido (*1986 in Niigata, Japan) studied at Tokyo University of Arts, Weissensee Kunstakademie and Universität der Künste, Berlin. The artist is particularly concerned with memory culture as well as the role of tragedies and catastrophes in human communities, the resulting historiographies and their ideological consequences.
